FRANCIACORTA DOSAGE ZERO 2011 AMONG THE BEST WINES IN ITALY
Franciacorta Dosage Zéro 2011 Castello Bonomi has obtained the prestigious recognition of
Tre Bicchieri of the Vini d’Italia 2021 guide by Gambero Rosso.
A result achieved thanks to the work carried out over the years by the Chef de Cave Luigi Bersini and all the Castello Bonomi team assisted by Professor Leonardo Valenti, an academic at the State University of Milan, and Roberto and Carlo Paladin, who lead the company.
Vintage 2011 is judged by the Franciacorta Consortium as the best harvest of the last 15 years; Franciacorta Dosage Zéro 2011 is the result of the extraordinary quality of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and of its refinement on yeasts of 84 months. The quality of this vintage allowed us to express at best the philosophy of Castello Bonomi through even longer ageing on the lees. Franciacorta Dosage Zéro is fully placed on the podium of the best Franciacorta vintages produced by the company.

The Dosage Zéro Castello Bonomi is the result of a cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in equal proportions. The 2011 vintage proved to be a harvest of special value, which in the cellar made it possible to best express the philosophy of Castello Bonomi, namely the enhancement of exceptional vintages through long refinements, beyond the normal production chain.
The Pinot Noir, after the first fermentation, matures for about 8 months in steel tanks. It is then mixed with Chardonnay which has fermented in small oak barrels for about 8 months. This Cuvée, after the second fermentation, matures for 84 months before the disgorging and then refines further in bottle to achieve the perfect balance.
A bright straw yellow wine, with a fine perlage. The bouquet presents scents of white fruits, vanilla and the symphony of citrus and vegetable shades stand out, further we can find delicious notes of baked bread, essential and clear. Taste is silky and with creamy effervescence, it presents an incomparable harmony.
