Franciacorta Cuvée 1564 Brut Nature Millesimato
In the Vineyard
Cuvée 1564 Brut Nature Millesimato is composed of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Nero, and 10% Erbamat. The unique microclimate and the presence of vineyards located on the highest part of Monte Orfano ensure excellent quality during harvest, despite the limited quantity of Erbamat grapes produced.

In the Cellar
Thanks to careful and staggered grape harvesting, as well as the management of pressing and the fractionation of the musts, a sparkling base wine with perfect characteristics for the pursued winemaking style is obtained. After the tirage (bottling for secondary fermentation), the wine remains in contact with the lees for over 40 months, further enhancing its aromatic profile.

Tasting Notes
Cuvée 1564 Brut Nature Millesimato displays a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose reveals sensations of tropical fruits and citrus, while the defining traits on the palate are the long, refined, and persistent acidity. The presence of Erbamat provides support to the two main grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, making the wine even more complex and suitable for aging.

Plus
The 2017 vintage marked the first inclusion of Erbamat in one of our Franciacorta cuvées. It was a first step towards the promotion of this grape variety with ancient roots but particularly relevant in today’s winemaking context.
