Castello Bonomi follows the principles of organic farming, adopting a responsible approach aimed at minimizing environmental impact through practices that improve and protect the vineyard ecosystem.

The decision to embrace organic farming represents the culmination of a broader sustainability project that has been ongoing for several years. Castello Bonomi operates according to the principles of Reasoned Viticulture, a sustainable agronomic system that aims to ensure production that respects ecosystems and their biodiversity. It is an avant-garde method that innovatively reestablishes the ancient relationship between humans and nature.

The sustainable approach taken in the production of Castello Bonomi Franciacorta wines involves careful and constant monitoring of the environment, conducted through a scientific approach. This is ensured through valuable collaborations with prominent institutions such as the Universities of Milan and Padua, as well as the agronomic study group SATA. Among the various monitoring tools adopted is participation in the ItaCa project, which allows for objective monitoring of the carbon footprint of production and the identification of areas for improvement. Another fundamental aspect of sustainable viticulture is soil care, and in this regard, Castello Bonomi participates in the BioPass project, which assesses the biodiversity of flora and fauna present in the vineyards.

This project measures the organic matter present in the soil, and in the analyzed soil plot, it has shown exceptional data with organic matter reaching 3.5% in the vineyard, the result of long-term efforts to preserve and ensure soil quality.

The strong emphasis on environmental protection and the implementation of sustainability is part of Casa Paladin's 4V project, which is based on the principles of respecting the Vine, protecting the Green, producing sustainable Wine, and safeguarding Life.
