In the Vineyard
Franciacorta Riserva Lucrezia Etichetta Bianca Castello Bonomi is derived from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes, selected from vineyards over 30 years old, located on terraces at the slopes of Monte Orfano. These vineyards boast predominantly limestone soil, which imparts great longevity to the fruit. The yields per hectare are extremely low, ensuring optimal ripening and a high aromatic concentration. The harvest is early to guarantee a balance between acids and sugars.

In the cellar
After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed in an entirely inert environment, with only the first pressing used to compose this reserve. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature, and the lees are continuously stirred using the batonnage technique. A portion remains in stainless steel, and in spring, the blend is created. After refermentation in the bottle, it ages on the lees for over120 months

Tasting Notes
This wine has a full body, starting with a particularly fine and elegant perlage. On the nose, the Pinot Noi expresses its complexity while the Chardonnay expresses a high concentration of fruit that blends well with hints of vanilla pod, toasted almond, honeyed notes, and white flower aromas of lime and acacia. It exhibits great balance on the palate, with minerality being the most persistent sensation, accompanied by a refreshing and always vertical acidity.

Plus
A wine that combines a unique pleasantness with the complexity of a grand reserve. It is a wine for aging, thanks to its lively acidity, but already delivers a sense of great depth.

Food Pairings
A reserve wine for special occasions. It pairs well with butter and caviar crostini, as well as shrimp tempura where the wine’s cleanliness balances the sweetness.
