The recognition bestowed upon Castello Bonomi’s Chef de Cave for his unwavering commitment over the years.
The annual “Rigoletto d’Argento” award ceremony, which honors individuals who have consistently and diligently worked in various sectors of food culture, has been held for twenty years. This idea originated in Mantua, promoted by the Delegation of the Italian Sommelier Association of Mantua, on the initiative of Luigi Bortolotti, and later embraced by AIS Lombardia. Throughout the years, the award has been presented to prestigious figures in the restaurant industry, enology, and food and wine journalism, including Gualtiero Marchesi, Nadia Santini, Enzo Vizzari, Bruno Gambacorta, Patrizio Roversi, Mattia Vezzola (to name just a few).
Castello Bonomi and Rigoletto d’Argento: who is Luigi Bersini
This year, the two awardees have made remarkable contributions to the world of winemaking: Andrea Faustini, winemaker at Cavit (Trento), and our very own Luigi Bersini, recognized “for his excellent ability to interpret Franciacorta by masterfully enhancing the vineyards of the splendid natural amphitheater of Monte Orfano.” Luigi is the pride of our estate, serving as the technical coordinator in the vineyards and the maestro of the cellar (Chef de Cave). We are proud to celebrate his unwavering dedication and commitment, which have remained unchanged throughout the many years at Castello Bonomi. Chapeau!
