The Wine Oscars, a prestigious ceremony organized by Bibenda, took place on May 26, 2014, in Rome.
Once again, it is the Lucrezia Black Label Franciacorta that brings great satisfaction by winning the Wine Oscars. It is an honor and a source of pride for Castello Bonomi, which has consistently received extraordinary recognition for this excellent Franciacorta, already awarded the 5 Grappoli (Grapes) by Bibenda in 2014.
The Wine Oscars
The Wine Oscars are one of the most anticipated and prestigious tasting events of the year, offering an unmissable opportunity to participate in a grand tasting at the largest International Center for Wine and Oil Culture. Organized by Bibenda, the Wine Oscars feature 21 nominated wines, presented to participants in 7 sessions, with 3 labels each, by the instructors of the Italian Sommelier Foundation.
Lucrezia Black Label in Tasting
From Castello Bonomi’s oldest vineyards, located at 275 meters above sea level, an exclusive Franciacorta is born, made from pure Pinot Noir. This cuvée is produced exclusively in exceptional vintages when the maturity of the grapes achieves a balance that ensures longevity and perfect harmony.
During tasting, Lucrezia Black Label presents itself as a golden Franciacorta with coppery highlights. It exhibits abundant foam with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is rigorous and intense, extraordinarily elegant and complex, with notes of candied citrus and fragrances of golden bread crust, hay, and chamomile. The mineral notes stand out on a significant acidic structure, providing a distinct character. It is a Franciacorta of great expressiveness with an exceptional, long-lasting finish, featuring citrusy notes that confirm olfactory richness and fullness.
Lucrezia Black Label: The Wine for Special Occasions
Lucrezia Black Label from Castello Bonomi is a splendid Franciacorta for special occasions, magnificently pairing with fish-based dishes or white meats, such as sea bass carpaccio or truffle-scented partridge ravioli. It is sublime with seared tuna and oven-baked sea bass.
This is a niche production that elevates the typical choices of our estate and cellar to the highest level, exemplifying once again the joy that Castello Bonomi can express under the skies of Franciacorta thanks to the extraordinary longevity of its wines.
